In a separate incident, police aviation conducted a daring rescue operation, saving students from a vehicle that had drifted into a valley stream in the Samad Al-Shaan district. While some individuals are still missing, those rescued have been transported to Ibra Reference Hospital for medical attention and further assistance.
The Royal Oman Police reported ongoing rescue efforts for 20 individuals stranded in three houses at Wadi bin Khalid, Al Qahm area, highlighting the relentless efforts being made to ensure the safety of all affected by the floods.
In response to the unfolding crisis, the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Innovation issued a directive for schools and colleges in Oman to operate in distance mode on Monday, April 15.
